Erin Perry (Rutherford, NJ)

Type of Art Work: Painter

Erin Perry is a painter based in New Jersey,  USA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Global Business from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
Erin is an abstract artist,  currently working primarily with acrylics,  while utilizing a variety of unconventional methods and tools to paint with. She describes the majority of her work as a feeling, vibration, or observation of the world around her. Her art ranges from bold colors and strokes, to natural, earthy pieces. Erin does not sign the face of her canvas. Her explanation for this is, “If I sign the face I am giving a painting orientation. Essentially I am telling you how to see it. I don’t want to do that. I want you feel an emotion,  sense an idea, or see an image that is entirely your own. Experience the painting on your terms. I believe it is important for you to make a piece yours,  as much as it is mine. “
